What We Do

Wiring & Rewiring

Whether it's adding circuits for a kitchen remodel, wiring a finished basement, or replacing aging wiring in an older North Shore home, wiring work is where planning matters most. We design for the loads you actually have — and the ones you'll add later — so the system is safe, code-compliant, and ready for the future.

Good to Know

Before You Book

Rewiring an occupied home is less disruptive than most people expect. Where possible we fish new cable through existing walls to minimize drywall work, and we keep circuits live in the areas you're using while we work through the house in stages.

Cost depends on the number of circuits, access, and whether the panel has capacity for the new load — which is why we quote wiring projects with a free on-site estimate rather than a guess over the phone. Larger projects typically start within one to three weeks after permit approval.

FAQ

Wiring & Rewiring — Common Questions

Do you handle permits and inspections?

Yes. For wiring projects that require them, we coordinate permits and the final inspection. Larger projects typically start within one to three weeks after permit approval.

Can you rewire without tearing open every wall?

Usually, yes. We fish new cable through existing wall cavities wherever possible, which keeps drywall repairs to a minimum. We'll walk the route with you during the estimate so you know exactly what to expect.

How do I know if my home needs rewiring?

Common signs include two-prong ungrounded outlets, frequently tripping breakers, dimming lights when appliances start, and wiring from the 1960s or earlier. An electrical inspection can tell you definitively what's there and what actually needs replacing.
